The Work

For many of us, the Southbank Centre is much more than a concert venue. It’s a place where life-shaping stories unfold. Where first dates turn intofiftieth dates. Where cold, grey London suddenly becomes home. Where loved ones no longer here somehow feel like they’re still sitting beside you, enjoying the music.

Naming a seat in one of the halls offers a way to make those memories and emotions tangible with a permanent plaque. But many supporters simply don’t know the opportunity existed. With more than 3,000 seats still waiting to be named, we developed the campaign that inspired people to take part.

Our concept celebrated the stories that unfold offstage and a brilliant shoot at the Royal Festival Hall brought them to life.

The Impact

By leading with emotion rather than product, the campaign encouraged our audience to imagine how their own Southbank story might be immortalised. Internally, the work became a benchmark for how the Southbank Centre brand could be brought to life, with the campaign used to help set design standards across the organisation
